Brown Velvet
Mutation Crosses
Brown Velvet
A first genteration brown velvet is produced by mating beige and a black velvet chinchillas. They share the characteristics of the beige parent but with the veiling of the velvet parent. Breeding Brown velvet to Beige chinchillas can produce a Homo Beige brown.
Black White Cross
A first generation black white cross is produced by mating a Wilson white and black velvet. It closely resembles the Wilson white but any grey hairs are black. They also can display black paw spats, masks and tail bases, all of which are a characteristic of black velvets.
Brown White Cross
There are a few options for breeding a first generation brown white cross. Brown velvet to Wilson white, Black white cross to beige and black or brown velvet to a pink white will all produce a brown white cross.
The brown white cross is a combination of Wilson white, black velvet and tower beige. They closely resemble the pink white but any beige hairs are brown. Again, similar to the Black white cross they can display brown paw spats, masks and tail bases, all of which are characteristics of velvets.

Their fur is almost a creamy colour and their eyes are pink. They have previously been known as Rose Apricot or Champagne.
Pink White
A first generation Pink White produced by breeding Wilson white and beige chinchillas. They have pink ears, deep red eyes, and predominantly white fur.
